The Motoman Project is a machine/robot performance based experiment dedicated
to the expansion of creativity thru the exploration of human imagination.
A collaboration of work by machine artists, kinetic sculptors and audio
- video technicians. The combined talents create performances of technical
intrigue. The Motoman Project combines civilian technology and industrial
salvage to function as elements within our experiments. Excessively engineered
mechanical creations, remote tele-operated machines, ear splitting sounds
and experimental audio is what the Motoman Project brings to the arena.
PRELIMINARYPROPOSAL:
- Full Scale Performance Fee ---------- $2500 - $5000 - $10,000
- Fee includes performance and all promotional material
- MOTOMAN PROJECT deals with all promotional material ie: designs and
pays for printing of color postcard flyers, full size posters, Press releases,
Newspaper and Television.
- SITE SPONSOR will produce the event (receive top billing on promotional
material & video projections)
PERMITS: SITE SPONSOR will need to notify the local authorities (fire
and police Departments) if they feel it necessary for the performance
run smoothly. An informal understanding between the authorities and the
promoters is acceptable, if the relationship is long standing and stable.
SET-UP PERIOD: TBD based on scale of show
CREW: MOTOMAN PROJECT will bring a full crew ranging from specialists
in electricity, electronics, machining, rigging, welding, mechanics, and
computers.
A SITE SPONSOR representative should be familiar with the site and the
city and capable of acting as sponsor's technical director.
SITE: 110 volt power supply, running water, toilets, an indoor space with
phone, and a couch should be on site upon arrival of crew (access to SITE
SPONSOR store will be just fine).
AUDIENCE SEATING: Standing room only
HOUSING: MOTOMAN PROJECT may need rooms pending scale of show
SAFETY: MOTOMAN PROJECT provides CO2, or Dry Chem extinguishers.
Safety crew provided by MOTOMAN PROJECT and SITE SPONSOR
Crowd control area of at least twenty (20) feet from performance area.
