FF 03: The Motoman Project

Force Future
The annual FORCE FUTURE shows are group shows designed to premiere and showcase Colorado’s best emerging and experimental artists. For the second year in a row, Andenken Gallery in downtown Denver Colorado, will host the exhibit. Beginning in 2001, FORCE FUTURE has successfully helped launch the careers of several artists and brought regional attention to those participating.

The 2003 Force Future exhibit will host the work of the Motoman Project. The Motoman Project is a machine performance group based in Denver, Colorado. Made up of fine artists, machine artists, and tinkerers, the group performs nationally in traditional and alternative venues. On display will be examples of both the artists’ machine works and fine art, showcasing the wide range of specialties collected together to form this unique group.
MMP members and contributors: Joseph Riché, Eric Dewine, Zach Smith, Bryan Andrews, Dave "Daud" Denny, Charlie "Stone" Larkin, Dan Crosier, Chris Munoz, Dan Wiess, and Jeanne Bacqué.

MOTOMAN PROJECT Description:
The MOTOMAN PROJECT is an interactive machine/robot performance-based experiment dedicated to the expansion of creativity through the exploration of human imagination. A collaboration of work by machine artists, kinetic sculptors and audio-video technicians. The combined talents create performances of technical intrigue. The MOTOMAN PROJECT combines civilian technology and industrial salvage to function as elements within their experiments. Excessively engineered mechanical creations, remote tele-operated machines, ear splitting sounds and experimental audio is what the MOTOMAN PROJECT brings to the arena.
